You're nice, and you're funny and you don't smoke, and okay, werewolf, but that's not all the time. I mean, three days out of the month, I'm not much fun to be around, either.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't even.

I mean, it's sexy, but not always smart.

Parker's a total brainiac (heh), one of the [many] things that made Tobey McSquid so unbelievable for me, but on a human scale. I think Supes is supposed to be inhumanly smart, something that Tom Welling is struggling to portray to us with the writing he is working with.

Up with the sun

Has the show ever even commented on Clark's grades? I agree that the actor doesn't come across as very intelligent, but I wonder if they're trying and failing or if it's just not on their radar screen, what with the really cool inner ear shots to show us.

It's a remora, dimwit.

Oh, the No Organic Webshooter Campaign. Their literature at cons was how I first found out there'd be a Spider-Man movie. Still, among the superheroes, it's always seemed to me that there was a mixture of intelligence levels and types of intelligence - among the X-Men Xavier and Beast were brilliant, but Wolverine's only chance at winning on Jeopardy would involve threatening the other contestant's lives and making Alex Trebek give him points in exchange for removing the lit cigar from his hand.

Kitty Pryde's bright. Cypher was bright before he was SLAUGHTERED. Jean Grey's only bright in the movies. Wolverine despises book learning, but gets crap done (sort of a Jack O'Neill with built-in cigar and blades).

Most of them are pretty damned average, I think. I mean, no reason to think Wolvie's book-dumber than Nightcrawler.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Not in the movie.

Remind me -- how did that go?

It was just....there, when Peter woke up all buff and spider-y. Feh.

And did you see they're in talks for Spidey 3?

Dude, I'm DYING for Spidey 2, in large part b/c Michael Chabon wrote the screenplay!

Spiderman has funny lines in the comics. Good comic timing's smart.

I was hooked on Buffy from quip #1, because of how Spider-Man-like her fight-and-quipping is.

Kurt's at least learned in occult circles thanks to his stepmom. He knew what the Darkhold was on sight, making him, Doctor Strange, and the Scarlet Witch the only superheroes who would.

And Wolverine's learned in army/combat things. They're still pretty mundane in the circles they frequent.

Okay, well, in the movies Wolvie's the one who never thought, "Hey, maybe they don't leave a secret army base out where anyone can see it. Maybe they put it underground, most popular choice for secret lairs, well before ridiculously tall towers and inside volcanoes."
