Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I can't recall the exact wording, but the voiceover mentions a "loss that will change SG1 forever," all while we see Jack running, getting shot, and falling to the ground (apparently) mortally wounded. Various reactions shots of Sam, Daniel, and Teal'c, looking properly horrified. Then, the clip of Sam in her dress blues, giving what sounds like a eulogy.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Okay, thanks.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I dunno, documentrary guy may fall in love with Dr. Frasier . That could lead to her death.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

The preview showed Jack getting hit by a staff weapon blast in the chest, with a v.o. that intoned, "A loss that will affect the Stargate program forever."

Damn. I wish I hadn't gotten accidentally spoiled about next week.

Edited to spoiler-font.

Thrive to spite them

I'm wondering about the

staff weapon blasts since a) Wells took one in the chest and was seriously wounded but couldn't be moved and b) they showed us the new flexible shield thing for the flak jackets they were trying out when the documentary guy got all gung ho "I wanna try it!" Although it seemed to be experimental so maybe it wasn't in the jackets yet.

Ooh, sorry, Vonnie. Though applause for your fortitude at making it this far.

Eh. It was literally several months ago. Someone on LJ mentioned it without a cut-tag, which made me pissed off for a while, but I'm reconciled to it now. Kind of.

Let me tell you, after that, I thought long and hard about chucking my spoilerphobicity to hell and getting down and dirty with the ho-dom. It was a touch and go there for a while.

Heh. Well, as you know I don't even pretend to spoiler purity when it comes to Stargate, so I've got no room to talk.

OK, stargate technician guy with the chevrons (for the 7th chevron, I like to change it up a bit and say, 'locked'), and the that's pretty much my job, and the close iris open iris? Loved it. ETA: and then they even made it kind of sweet at the end with the whole "SG teams like to know we're there," bit. Awwww.

How much do I love seeing Adam Baldwin again? A lot. A very lot.

I adore the looks the other gate techs give him when he's finishing that spiel. Like, "oh, God, there goes Walter again."
