but LAST WEEK, PEOPLE.
It took me several minutes to remember anything about last week - so yeah, you're right.
Last week I was at least semi-intrigued becuase I thought the voice mutant was so X-Men-y that I was trying to see if they dropped obvious clues to it - but yeah, all that traveling through Clark's inner ear canal made me nauseous.
So this means that Kansas is three hours away from a coast.

The sad, sad truth is that the closest actual coast line (ocean or gulf, not great lake) is a 16 HOUR drive (Louisiana) and a 22 HOUR drive to the nearest real beach (Padre Island). It is minus 11 degrees (w/wind chill) here and snowing. WHY DO I LIVE HERE????
Maybe there's a big space warp to the East Coast torn open by the meteor rocks, and everyone's so used to using it they don't even think about the inconsistency? (Hey, it makes as much sense as anything else on this show...)

I think I liked the Lana / adam thing because Iactaully heard some one talking straight to Lana...Most things feel really fake on smallville because everyone is lying all the time. ( but it is family friendly !)
Luke/Lorelai kind of bore me too -- because they won't take a step forward.
It turns out that Luke is living with his ex -- in a townhouse but Lorelai (when they go to get his toolbox to clobber the churchbells) notices that basically Luke has not moved out and she calls him on it. They fight because Lorelai wants to know ALL and Luke doesn't even THINK to tell her he's moved.
I was a bit iffy about the Kents keeping kryptonite around the house when they know it could kill their son, but maybe it's like their board of education. When your son's Superman, there's not much you can do to discipline him, unless you try spanking him with a kryptonite paddle.
he wrote Lois Lane's name on them, right? Who knows that is Chloe's psuedonym?
Chloe has mentioned her "cousin" in Metropolis. Maybe her cousin is Lois Lane...

Yes, Chloe said that last night. But she gave dead!Editor a disc with stories on it and said that she could use Lois Lane as new pseudonym.
I can't recall if anyone knew about the pseudonym or if it died with the editor guy.

And her cousin takes advantage of the fame Chloe established to get a job - though that implies that Lois Lane herself isn't that much of a reporter, she's just standing on the shoulders of a giant. What seems risky is that Chloe chose the name of a relative - if Lionel figured out who her father was, he could probably keep a file on cousins as well. I would have preferred for the name to be some sort of injoke, or reference to a Lois Lane, a street special to her in Smallville.
