I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Really? They go back and forth so much that I figured it was, like, a Sunnydale-to-L.A. distance -- less than two hours on a really bad day.

Chloe told Lionel last week when she got fired that she had a three hour drive to get home. I pay attention to these things because I know that if you were really out in the middle of Kansas, the only thing that is three hours away is - the middle of Kansas.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't believe you can think this worse than last week. Sure, it wasn't great (not a fan of binary code! infections), but LAST WEEK, PEOPLE.

Art Crawl!!!

I liked that there was minimal use of meteor rock even if the maguffin was stupid.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

It's been stated that it's a three-hour drive,

This is what drives me nuts. I mean, they've shown that Metropolis has docks, and is therfore on a coast, right? And they weren't river docks. So this means that Kansas is three hours away from a coast.

(Never mind that in the DCU it is theorized that Metropolis is in Delaware).

Speaking of meteor rock, it sure looked like that one "powered down" when it was knocked away from Duke boy.

but LAST WEEK, PEOPLE.

It took me several minutes to remember anything about last week - so yeah, you're right.

Last week I was at least semi-intrigued becuase I thought the voice mutant was so X-Men-y that I was trying to see if they dropped obvious clues to it - but yeah, all that traveling through Clark's inner ear canal made me nauseous.

t sob

The sad, sad truth is that the closest actual coast line (ocean or gulf, not great lake) is a 16 HOUR drive (Louisiana) and a 22 HOUR drive to the nearest real beach (Padre Island). It is minus 11 degrees (w/wind chill) here and snowing. WHY DO I LIVE HERE????

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe there's a big space warp to the East Coast torn open by the meteor rocks, and everyone's so used to using it they don't even think about the inconsistency? (Hey, it makes as much sense as anything else on this show...)

Back to GG:

they had a UST-filled fight and reconciliation via high crime.

Oh, you must tell me more. I'm bored by Rory-in-college too, love Lane, and have a pathetic fondness for Luke/Lorelai UST. So. More please?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I think I liked the Lana / adam thing because Iactaully heard some one talking straight to Lana...Most things feel really fake on smallville because everyone is lying all the time. ( but it is family friendly !)
