The girl's not playing with a full deck, Giles. She has almost no deck. She has a three.

Okay, they're upping the shipper quotient. Ah, well.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

You just know they were playing hot potato with that thing all the way home.

I also loved how completely uninterested in Burke's trauma Jack was. "Yeah yeah, dead teammate, bad posting, whatever. I'm working here. Oh, hey, is that gum?"

Yeah, the Stargate TPTB are big shippers. I keep telling myself I survived Angel/Cordelia and this is much less annoying.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Well, according to the ep I saw Monday, Jack/Sam is canon in other universes.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Whitefont: I loved the transporter ring bit. In a way, I feel a little sorry for Sam. I mean, having to go on a mission with your dad. Yeesh.

As for the GumLoving!Guide, what impressed me was how clean and ironed his shirt looked after a days of lying around dying of gunshot wounds in the jungle.

Yeah. Twice, actually. Please note that in both cases the world was actually taken over by the goa'uld, at least briefly, which I think should be a warning to them, but what do I know?

Gum! It's a theme!

Cereal Whitefont: Given that the episode next week appears to involve visions/hallucinations, I'm holding out hope that the Jack'n'Sam smoochies are part of some vision/dream/thing.

"put out like a broken candy machine"? What a lame crude simile. Learn something from the pros, guys: if you can't think of anything clever, go with "put out like a putting-out machine".

Annubis was reminding me a lot of Darth Vader, on the balcony. We had Raiders of the Lost Fountain of Youth, Star Wars, Zombies, Star Trek matte painting and comedy. What a great show!
