Even during the early days of the X-Files they had Scully stick a rectal thermometer in a kid's mouth, ER fucked up with the Babinksy reflex for years - at least Daniel remembers that he's an archeologist and usually handle that stuff, or at least the linguistics.

I think you may have underestimated to the power of 100, at least.
"What am I, a psychologist?" --Late-season Mulder, paraphrased
Yes. Yes you are. It was what you got your bachelor's in, and your specialty at the FBI before you got stuck with the X-Files.
Grrrr.....

I managed to catch this ep in spite of barely watching any of the last 5 seasons. It's like some higher power wanted to make sure I knew just bad it had gotten.
Was that in a Carter episode?
I had big issues with Scully and her SuperDuper Magic Reagents for a 6 hr southern blot in... I forget which mytharc episode. Redux I, I think. Minor thing to get pissed about, especially in comparison to her elastic gestation period in S8, but it totally got my gall since I had spent 2 solid days (accompanied by much cursing and hair-pulling) doing the same procedure a few weeks back.
Well, it's nothing compared to Sam Sam the WunderScientist, I guess.
Yeah, well I'm convinced that Scully must have been huffing some of Granny Naronti's forget-me powder the way she kept resetting to skeptic mode. I guess she must have run out about the time that Doggett showed up (or gave him her stash).
Maybe THE TRUTH is that the whole thing was a mind control experiment on FBI agents.
I thought the TRUTH was Mulder and Scully were going at it like rabbits on metamphetamines since season 2 all the while CC was yammering about plausible deniability.
Well, it's nothing compared to Sam Sam the WunderScientist, I guess.
Yeah, but half of the technology Sam plays with looks like gigantic Lite Brites. She's got plausible deniability.
