Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Capoeira! They're doing capoeira in "Allegiance."

Up with the sun

I know none of you watch Charmed (or admit to it, anyhow), but I'm gonna ramble about it anyhow:

It seems really obvious to me that Chris is Wyatt's little brother. He's part-witch, part-whitelighter, AND Holly Marie Combs is pregnant IRL. Granted, Piper and Leo are supposedly divorced, but there are so many ways the show could write in some more nookie for them. I guess Chris could theoretically be a cousin, but making him a brother is easier all around than writing in a pregnancy for either Phoebe or Paige, especially since Phoebe would need to hook up with a whitelighter. (I would take it on faith that Paige's child could have both witch and whitelighter powers, because she does, but Mommy!Paige? Does. Not. Compute.

The only questions to me is a)if we're supposed to have figured this out, or if the writers assume the audience has the collective intelligence of a box of gravel (not impossible) and b)when the Charmed ones will figure this out, given that they also occasionally display the intelligence of gravel.

(I also wonder how many lame nursery-rhyme spells the show can come up with, but that's me.)

I have a plan.

I just wonder how many times the Charmed ones can have their inhibitions suppressed, and why it always means sex for them.

If I only had a brain...

Well, if they had their inhibitions suppressed and suddenly they all started painting the bathroom, sweeps week wouldn't be nearly as much fun.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Without sex, Alyssa Milano would be sitting at home watching taped Who's the Boss episodes and wondering what ever happened to her career.

It's a remora, dimwit.

The theory I've been hearing is that Chris is a grown-up Wyatt, and he's gone back into time for some reason.

Well -- they talked to each other yesterday.

Maybe they could lose inhibitions and be really mean and trip old ladies in the street and throw things at dogs.

Because EVERY spell on the show means sex. They get posessed? Sex. There's a dragon? Sex. Phoebe becomes an empath? Etsexera, etsexera, etsexera.

The theory I've been hearing is that Chris is a grown-up Wyatt, and he's gone back into time for some reason.

That's been my theory all along (and I think the TWoP recapper's), but last night we saw grown-up Wyatt and Chris in the same time and place. I guess Chris could still be AU Wyatt, but given the implied history between them and the fact the actors look almost nothing alike, I'm sticking to the brothers (or possibly cousins, tho it would be harder to write) theory.

Yeah -- I, like you, was thinking Chris was Wyatt until last night. And now, like you, I'm figuring little brother. So, it may be an intentional misdirect, but that definitely seems to be what they're going for. I hadn't thought cousin by Paige ... interesting. Actually, I only caught the last fifteen minutes of the show ... and yet, I think I know all I need to know. It's the beauty of Charmed, so uncomplicated.
