I felt sorry for Lionel.
FWIW.
Also, like this was THE pivotal episode in Smallville, and that everything really will change from here.
Except Clark and Lana. Who don't change. Ever.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I didn't really want things to change, except to more like the first season. I don't trust them to maintain the tension required by darkening Lex.
I'm in Egypt right now.
It seems to involve Lex, Wes, and Fay. Possibly camels.
I'm watching on delay but have to say, Plei can be in denial all she wants if it has Lex, Wes and Fay in it. I am ambivalent about camels.

Hee!
I caught bits of The OC during the commercial breaks of Angel. Mostly the Seth/Summer makeout scene-- they are ridiculously cute. I find myself wating to write massive amounts of Seth/Summer OC/BtVS.
I think you're right, Plei. I'm hoping that Clark and Lana (you know, the initials thing kinda gets annoying), now that they've both figured it out, can just stop talking about it, already.
You know what was nice about this ep? No Lana till the mid-point. I didn't realize how much better that made it till she was there. Then, "oh, right, yeah. The one he's supposed to be in love with."
I would have liked at least one ep of Lex's reaction before he got mind-wiped. Ah, well. Good interior-fic fodder.
Is there anything with any sort of view of the pyramids that I can get for cheap? Even just from the roof is ok.
Also with Cass.
I finished watching Smallville. Not so much sub in the subtext. Well actually it was more sub/domtext.
Plei, write some of that Egypt stuff and then link it love? DebetEsse and I might be quite grateful... (hi DebetEsse)
I tend to watch Smallville and then delete. I kept it for a rewatch or few.
Lex was fifty shades of yummy and I wanted to lick all of them.

I hope it was. It certainly took a lot of stuff we thought we knew and chopped it up into little bits. It was one of the few times I've felt like I got more out of "Smallville" than "ooh, shiny." And I did feel sorry for Lionel, dammit.
Do we know why Lex feels responsible for Julian's death?
As for Clark and Lana ... yawn. I now the show needs to keep them apart for meta reasons, but the swapping places (he wants her/she runs away; she wants him/he runs away) thing is already dull.
Lex had hair stubble
I think he has this a lot. Unless your hair is actually paler than your skin, or it's been torn out at the roots, it's practically impossible to shave it well enough to make the hairline invisible. I mean, they could use more makeup, but -- suppose Rosenbaum's got it written into his contract, that he has to let on he really isn't bald at least once a season? Tommy Lee Jones had to announce it to the world when he won an Oscar.
Considering the snit I was in when I got home from work yesterday, Smallville was just the brainless pleasantry I needed. Lots of bright colors and violence. I managed not to remember until about 8:55 that the whole thing was a vague photocopy of the X-Files season 2 ender.
