You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So, Dana, we finally got you?

Uh, who me? These are not the droids you're looking for.

t runs away

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't even remember Solitudes, but the idea of RDA's pain face breaks me.

It's why I love Cold Lazarus so.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Solitudes is the "it's an ice planet!" episode where Sam sets Jack's broken leg.

Ha! All Sci-Fi had to do was make Stargate something like 17% of their overall programming! (Well, it's probably not quite that high.)

Oh! Right.

Broken again, thanks.

And there's the one where robo!he has to stand and watch robo!Daniel get offed ...

I should stop.

*brightly* We could talk about Abyss, if you want to do Pain!Jack.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

But that's the thing! Jack gets the noble, stoic pain. Sam gets the brave-front pain with hair tousle, somehow never dulling the spark in her eyes. Teal'c gets... slightly Teal'cier. Only Daniel gets the "Gee, how ugly can I make myself look?" bits. Which occasionally reminds me of the over-eager thespians I knew in high school.

Oh, and while there are some episodes when I think his old haircut was better (particularly the ones where he seems to have cut it moments before they started shooting), on the whole I'm glad the Prince Valiant look is gone.

Great. Random double post. There was no reason for that to happen.

Hey, when do we get to see Sam in an altered mind state? Jack's faked going bad for undercover work, Daniel's gotten addicted and mememe (twice), and Teal'c was brainwashed into worshipping Apophis for quite a number of episodes... when is it Sam's turn? Jolinar didn't even do much.

Well, Sam is the all-time winner for Alternate Selves. And she got to be druggy with everyone else in Seth.

Teal'c has that horribly strained shouting voice he uses under stress. Drives me nuts.

edit: Sam got infected by the computer alien.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

t perks up Did someone mention Solitudes?

"I'm here, Jack. You can sleep now." Then, "It was a pleasure to serve with you, too." t sniff Massive soft spot for that one. When Jack talks about how he dragged his broken body out of the desert, thinking about Sara? I cry and cry.

For mind-altered!Sam....err, there was that X-filesian S6 episode I watched a few weeks ago in which she pretended to be Goa'uld (uh, Go'auld? Damn, you know it's been a while since you've acted fannish about the show when you've forgetten where the apostrophe is supposed to go) mind-controlled when in fact she'd taken the antidote. Then, there's the Entity.
