Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I know we've seen a frozen lake.

Wasn't it frozen because of the FotW's powers?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

ita, I think he got the powers because of the frozen lake (got trapped below the ice, right?)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Trapped below the ice with the Kryptonite nearby, IIRC.

Obligatory I-live-in-Kansas post:

Kansas *should* have snow, occasionally. 20+ inches on average per year, but it varies considerable within the state.

You would think. In 17 years I have witnessed some crazy-ass snowy winters. 16 inches in one day. 35 inches or more in one winter. Sometimes as early as October, and as late as May (snowed during finals my senior year of college and then was 90 two weeks later on graduaton). Lots of winters, especially recently, with very little though. But the majority of the time we get lots of freezing rain, chunklets of ice falling like bullets from the sky, lots and lots of wind and temps in, say January, that go from minus 17 F as the high one day to plus 75 F as the high three days later. It is not unusual to have the heat on in your car for your trip to work and your AC on for the drive home.

This morning I woke up to a window-rattling thunder storm and it's now humid and in the upper 60s. 'Posed to snow later this week. Keeps things exciting.

I've never seen snow on Smallville, but I haven't seen every ep. They have however gotten the nicknames for both our big state schools correct, which earned my appreciation.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Woo on the Farscape news!!

And Sci-Fi is restarting the season 4 run in December. I can get all caught up (even though season 4 may not be worth the effort, I still want to be up to speed).

Forgot to mention earlier:

For all Michael Rosenbaum (Lex on Smallville) lovers - get thee to your video rental establishment muy pronto and rent the DVD of Poolhall Junkies.

I've seen folks mention it before - but I just rented it this weekend. You get much MR-with-hair foaminess, a good movie and great writer/director commentary by equally foamy Mars Callahan.

...........

I am only a casual Farscape fan (would probably be more into it if SciFi didn't mess with the re-broadcast schedule so much) - but I am so happy for Farscape lovers!

Hurrah on the Farscape news!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

All right, between this and certain other news on the board, who sold their soul to the Devil? I know it wasn't me, 'cause I'm still at work and my French-Canadian hockey player pal is still only a platonic friend... c'mon, fess up!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And there's more....Amazon.ca has started taking preorders for the third season of Due South on DVD (that'd be the RayK eps) with a ship date in January. Whoo-hoo!
