Ah, pretty much like raccoon then. I'd hoped the relative difficulty of bringing one down would be reflected in how good the meat tastes.
By rights, bears should be like big lobsters with fur.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Major Davis is on the Sentinel. He's so adorable. Even in a sweater vest.
Yeah, NSM.
Plus, we had it as burgers. Ground up. Possibly mixed with some ground turkey, there was a time when my mom was big on ground turkey.
Um. And I bet Martha Kent is, uh, very creative with any animals Jonathan brings home from hunting... t /pathetic attempt to be on topic
Major Fucking Davis, to me, ever since I read Dr. Jackson's Diary.

Hey, we were sorta on topic. Fraser's very first appearance had him telling a superior about several tons of poached game that he turned over to the First People population as food.
Considering the amount of car accidents they have, they probably use roadkill as the main source of meat. And now they could have Clark use his burny vision to cook deer right in the forest so they don't have to worry about finding room in the freezer.

Smokey the Bear will be very upset with this, given Clark's lack of control.
Prime hunting season is in winter when there's a ton of snow, so fires aren't so much a risk. This is also why all the fires hunters start in their campgrounds don't lead to as many problems as people who start fires in summer or fall.
And for none-winter, Clark could use his ability to move very fast to grab fish right out of the lake.
What is the rationale behind the timing of hunting season? Is it scheduled around the deer/moose breeding, to make sure the Bambis are of a certain age, or something?
Also, have we seen snow in Smallville?
It is timed to correspond to breeding seasons, which is why there are times of the year when only bucks are legal, and times when it's just does, and sometimes it's both. And I think the fact that it's easier to hunt when there's a good snowcover might also have some influence.
I don't think I've ever seen cold weather on Smallville, and Kansas can get pretty fuckass cold. Maybe the meteor fragments control the temperature.
