Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Wait, don't! Then I'll look crazy!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

whoops, too late. i don't think i made you look crazy, though.

I get it now, Sophia. I forget that Rachel Bilson is that actress, and when I hear Rachel I think of Sandy's coworker.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like Luke when he cries, and when he goes all "SNAG!! Fuck me!!"

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I read somewhere a possible spoiler that Luke's dad is going to come out of the closet. Which might explain the slashy potential we've seen between Luke and Ryan - he's not repressed himself, just a chip off the old block and exhibiting learned behaviors.

All is well that ends in pizza.

screencaps for the second half of the Stargate two-parter have shown up.

Katie, you might want to add that the Second part of the Two parter shows in January, and therefore the screencaps are Stargate spoilery.

That crybaby? Let him drown in his tears...

But you see how my boy apologised anyway.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Mmm, okay - I didn't stop to think that people might not be aware of that.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

That crybaby? Let him drown in his tears...

Such a good line!

Also, smonster, if you were still looking for good lines, the exchange between Anna and Seth where Anna says something like "Oh. Insults are conversation now." And Seth responds with, "I hope so, otherwise we've never spoken."

It's a remora, dimwit.

You know, I'm getting a little tired of some fic generalizing that kissing girls is soft and kissing boys is angular. It's an oversimplification and boring, as observations go.

An irked amen to that. It's right up there with the mere sight of a penis turning a gay girl straight. Were that true, extreme fundamental Christians would unleash legions of flashers at every Indigo Girls concert.
