I was bummed that there wasn't a Lex/Clark scene.
I haven't watched yet, and now ... I'm less eager.
Wash ,'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Enh. You missed nothing.
I can't believe they didn't have the decency to not play "I Only Have Eyes For You".
Yup. Fuckos.
Did you SEE that Duke Boy belt buckle "that Dad always wore"?!?!?!
Trudy, splainy?
Cancer Man! The Mayor of Smallville is Cancer Man!
Gosh, I miss good X-Files.
Am I wrong for not believing a thing Lionel says?
I said to my cousin, who was watching with me, "the fact that the storyline is about star-crossed lovers, told in flashbacks, and affecting people in the present...nah, nothing like Buffy."
A second later, I turned to him and said "Do you think Clark will scrub himself like Angelus did?"
Which cancer man? The smoking man, or the killing-people-to-eat-their-cancer man?
And I don't even consider myself much of an X-Files fan.

I didn't watch, but are you kidding me? They actually played that? Did Charmed ever have the chutzpah to be that blatant about what they were ripping off?
Huh. I didn't see it as a Buffy rip-off as much as an "every TV series ever made" plot. I mean, even My So-called Life had a halloween ep where modern people turned into their 1960's counterparts. And I think there is a law that "IOHEFY" must be played in these episodes, unless "Unchained Melody" is.
I liked it. But I watch SV in a "look at the pretty people" way, and I like 60's clothes, so my expectations are always low.
When was the bombing that killed the Luthors supposed to be?
Wow. I thought that this was a fairly good episode. . . that KK did much better than normal and you could tell that TW was trying. I actually thought that if KK had scenes with a good actor with more regularity she might improve more quickly . . . you know in a different series or something.
I was sad that Lachlan Luther wasn't played by MR. I wonder what Lex's Grandmother was named? Linnet? Laura?
Also, I now wonder if we're not going to see some Lana/Clark love scenes in the future -- now that Clark knows that his people and earth people can have sex.
As usual, what ruined Sville for me last night was TW. Good lord. I haven't had enough coffee to snark efficiently at that boy's lack of talent.
But I thought the story was OK. I am totally into the Superman mythology eps of Smallville, and not so much the FreakoftheWeek eps - and since I'm gonna watch the show anyway - I take the mythology eps where I can get them.
I thought them using the song IOHEFY was a shout-out (maybe? with Greenberg on the writing team - it had to be right?) at least that's how I'm going to take it.
And Jeff - I don't know if Grandpa Kent is part of the Superman comicverse, but I just read somewhere that they are adding Chloe into the comics very soon because she is so popular w/the kids. That's the first time they have added a character to the comics from a TV or movie version of Superman (or so this article said).
And by the way, as much as I don't care for the actress, I agree that the Chloe and Lex scenes were great. And somebody has been doing some serious crunches - AM looked all kinds of in shape.
