Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I'd keep an eye on yours, Sean. You may have made nice with it, but it is probably still harbouring resentment.

Aw, crap. Just what I need. I'll fall asleep on the futon one night, and the next thing I know, it'll fold in half and smother me.

Now I'm gonna be all paranoid watching TV. Thanks, ita.

It's a remora, dimwit.

You'll have just invented futon snuff porn. There's an accomplishment.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Although 130 minutes would be a tad long for an animation fesitval.

Dude, with Wallace & Gromit you budget yourself, savoring each one and waiting a while to enjoy the next.

Thrive to spite them

I watched the Stargate episode 2010 and I noticed that the gray monotones again seem to be the choice for the fashionable Future!Earth.

Along with vaccinating against aging and cancer they seemed to have vaccinated against color and fashion.

But I'm talking about Creature Comforts, not Wallace and Gromit.

If you're referring to the Aardman Festival, I don't think it had any Wallace & Gromit (it did have the original Creature Comforts, and some of the CC commercials) - I saw it when it was out, which was a couple five years ago. The subsequent DVD definitely had no W&G.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

On the plus side, 2010 Daniel finally got a new pair of glasses.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In theatres, the Aardman Animation Festival ended with A Close Shave.

There's a DVD?

This is the one that starts with the deeply weird college thing, which involved a window and, like, someone getting eaten? The one that I commented afterwards "I was not high enough for that part"?

Ooh, I want it.

Gracias - I was doing a total memfault. I know the DVD didn't have that or the commercials, but I think everything else (including the indelibly weird Not Without My Handbag) from the festival was included.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, yes. Nice specs.
