We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So...LFN is another show that went kablooey with the continuity and character-drift?

Does this happen to all of Dana's shows? (XF, FS, LFN...)

Here you go.

Interesting. I must now explore. Thanks for the link.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What, they were trying to take over the beach or something?

They were trying to horn in on Baywatch's turf, disrespecting them, and taking credit for saves.

It was very ugly.

edit: OH GOD, THERE GOES ANY CRITICAL CRED I MAY HAVE HAD ....

Note to ita's file: Last of her critical cred exhausted in great Baywatch Fiasco of Ought-Three.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

If it makes you feel any better, ita, something about my recording choices made my Tivo think I wanted to watch Baywatch. (I didn't. Well, I did watch the two episodes it recorded for me. They were very bad, but the Dramatic! Music! during the big gambling-addiction scene was entertaining.)

In my defense? Lots of wet men.

Well, it's all the defense I have.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So...LFN is another show that went kablooey with the continuity and character-drift?

Does this happen to all of Dana's shows? (XF, FS, LFN...)

Wait, now you're blaming me?

It's all your fault. Pod!Aeryn, Pod!Giles, Cry!Scully. Go stand in the corner and think about all the people you made cry.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've seen smoking guns that were less convincing.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Okay wait just a gosh darn minute. Surely the wet men initiative does not mean wet David Hasselhoff. I draw the line at David Hasselhoff.

"Except I don't think joining the Navy makes you automatically 6'4", beefcake, and Canadian."

One, I don't believe that anyone on any of those shows are actually 6'4". Two, what if you're already two of three?

You'd have to make me actually sit down and watch JAG to tell you that. There are some things I won't do for my country.
