The official endorsement is supposed to be why they are actually more than halfway accurate about AF protocol. The job that Jack had in Wormhole X-treme kinda exists.
'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
It was Air Force in the original movie, so they went with it. :-)
The only armed force less likely to show up in a TV series is probably the Coast Guard... or maybe the Merchant Marine.
None of the other armed forces makes any sense either. Maybe they're the ones who offered Katherine's father the most research support?
It seemed like every time I turned on La Femme Nikita, it was either a) Nikita angsting over Michael, b) Michael angsting over Nikita, c) Michael using Nikita's love for him for some Section-related intrigue, or d) just after such a betrayal, Nikita putting on a brave face and leaving that life behind, after which a). Which isn't to put the show down. It just... well, it made me think Nikita was really damn stupid. But I liked Burkhoff.
Nikita was really damn stupid
Oh, she was. The show hinged on it.
Oh, and Callum Keith Rennie. Although come to think of it, his character was rather... eh? Nice, and all, and cute-little-girl-having, but hardly memorable except for having architectural models in his house.

Well...yeah. What's your point?
What, you wanted plots that made sense? Continuity that didn't make you want to put your eyes out?
Except I don't think joining the Navy makes you automatically 6'4", beefcake, and Canadian.
One, I don't believe that anyone on any of those shows are actually 6'4".
Two, what if you're already two of three?
But I liked Burkhoff.
He's the techie guy, yes? The young one, rather than the ponytailed one?

Oh, surely they've shown up. On Baywatch, or Miami Vice, or some other show that would incorporate drugrunning.
They've shown up on CSI Miami.
There you go!
Now, the Merchant Marine I have more trouble with.
