Okay, you know what? I'm bored. Really. That seemed forced. The pop culture references are too obvious (except for my tagline, which seemed very much in character), and that was the plan?
That? Getting beat to pieces as an object lesson to the girls? Why not just decapitate him (ooh, with a circular saw)
before
he bludgeons you? The girls would still get it.
Also, in the telepathic voice over, Buffy's voice did not sound like herself. Still, I liked that Xander seems to be very much key guy.
The actress playing Eve had an accent that kept coming in and out. And Kennedy annoys the piss out of me. Or maybe it's just the Kennedy/Willow that does.
And Eve had a funny scrunched up face.
Megan, I know that you're tired of drugs... And predinose has some nasty side effects, but if you want to smell....

Brent said "She could have done that with a sword much quicker."
And Kennedy annoys the piss out of me.
Kennedy is the only slayerette I can stand. Must be the Willow lover in me. =) And by lover, I mean....
predinose has some nasty side effects, but if you want to smell....
and cortisone did squat!
Oh, and I agree that Buffy's telepathic voice did not sound like her at all.
So, the First only manifests as people that are "dead". I guess that means "Used to be dead" too?
Tomorrow at 8:00 on CTV Paul Gross is guest starring on that new show The Eleventh Hour.
What's the eleventh hour?
And I'll go post that on the Due South thread, if you don't mind.
flies by with vibes that Angel will get moved to Wednesdays for the evil Canadians
Naw, it's staying where it is. The big question is, will it run the Monday
before
you get it or
after
you get it.
t crickets
Hmmm quiet here. Guess the Canadians didn't enjoy as much as I did. Well, I'll post my thoughts since I can't wait another 24 to do so!
Showtime impressions.
Giles – He is absolutely alive (in my opinion). After he and Anya left the Eye place his hair was just as mussed as hers was. I don’t think FE gets mussed hair.
Kennedy – annoys me muchly, particularly since I know that I am going to warm up to her in time. Grr Argh I’m feeling manipulated.
Spike – She didn’t give up on you. I am such a hopeless shipper. Can’t help myself. And what JM can say in an expression in the end when Spike knows it is Buffy. Ahhh. I can't say anything that doesn't betray my fangirl status.
Willow – I really like the way they are dealing with her magic issues. Still have not forgiven the way it was handled last year, but I do like it this episode. Avoid Kennedy! I suspect it is inevitable, but resist, I surely am.
Xander – Still da man! No super powers, but Mr. Reliable and Devoted. (Sorry long-time Xander lovers) Xander has pissed me off more than pleased me s1-s6, but I really am feeling the Xander love this season.
Buffy – She has always been a peripheral character to me with the exception of s6 where I could identify with her not feeling anything issue. Back to not identifying, but I am liking the leadership role.
Andrew – I got a fortune in kittens on him turning very useful.
Anya – She has been my favorite but I thought she was wasted this episode.
They were losing me and I was thinking 11th hour snooze. Then the mind talk was revealed and the rest of the ep was awesome.
Liked the kickass opening scene with the arriving proto-slayer and Buffy. The cynic in me commented to DH that it was less trouble to tear out the page of the phone book for Summers than to create a fake one.
I have to say that this certainly wasn't among the top episodes of this season in my opinion. It was on the dull side and not very memorable overall.
OTOH, Buffy /did/ finally kill the Uebervamp. /FINALLY/. So hopefully the next 11 episodes won't be quite as boring as the last few have gotten.
As much as I love Buffy and wish it would keep going forever, I have to agree with joss that the series is starting to run dry. The story's told.
