Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

HEY! What are you doing here!? Companioning our numbers and then leaving without so much as a note?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Yes. Yes I am. Because I'm a cheap number ho - but I'm SO not able to contribute to any conversations which involve knowing about Buffy ahead of the US. What with the whole not-seen-a-single-ep-of-this-season-yet-ness inherent in being English.

Sigh.

Elena, I realised later that morning that you missed the bus on the way home. Me silly. But you're on break now, with incoming Trudiness! Woohoo!

I am at work - full day today, half-day tomorrow, and then I'm done for the week. Yay! Now I just need to finish my Christmas shopping ...

I went for my blood test today - there were only four or five people ahead of me, and I was out of there within a half-hour. Yay for Christmas (I'm guessing that's why it wasn't so busy).

Last night we had the candlelight Christmas/Solstice service at the Unitarian church. I played recorder duets during the Offering (with another person - I'm not that good), and my family sang "Carol of the Bells" a capella in four parts (I was the tenor). We sounded pretty darn good, and got the most applause. t /bragging

(Natter repost for those who don't read that thread)

Walking to work this morning, I was struck by the beauty of the season. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground, covering the dirt and grime, making the city look wonderfully fresh.

As I walked through a nearby 4 star hotel, so I could make my way to work through the pedways and tunnels, again the splendor of the day before Christmas became evident in their decorations. A pretty tree, fragrant pine bows, and icicle ornaments trimmed the lobby with a perfect Christmasy touch.

Looking out the window, all this polished beauty was completed by the wonderment of a 20 foot high, inflatable, Molson Canadian beer can. Oh the joy! Oh the beauty of the inflatable beer can! I can celebrate the season in peace knowing that the Christmas beer can is overlooking the city. PRAISE BE!

Singing that song in a cootchie-coo manner once led to my father getting bitten on the nose.
