Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

Thanks for all the fish.

Remeber when Buffy first encountered him? She asked if he's seen Dawn and he answers 'There's just the 3 of us here.'.... Three... Spike and Buffy and? At first I thought he meant his soul, but maybe some of his babbling was done to Warren et al.

Say, don't you think that it's odd that Buffy wouldn't question what he meant by that?

I think she got distracted by the ghost zombies?

What did you guys think of Spike's hair?

We should get this thread above 100 tonight!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I think she was distracted by the worrying about Dawn and the crazy Spike.

Thanks for all the fish.

I think she was distracted by his hair. Which I like, but will have to rewatch to fully appreciate.

And he tried to rip his soul out. Poor thing.

Overall, I liked it. It was a bit slow, but it seems to be setitng us up for an exciting season.

I think this principal will be a good guy? bad guy? situation...until he gets EATEN!

When I heard that Spike's hair was different, I thought "Oh, so he has to express his new self with a hair-do?" but now I've seen it I think it was cleverly done. It looked like he stopped dyeing and cutting it when he got his soul - makes sense to me.

Also, did anybody else's TV fritz out for a second during Spike's freak out? It seemed apropos, actually.

Thanks for all the fish.

And he spends a lot of time pulling it and running his fingers through it.. ...

Okay, back now.

Thanks for all the fish.

Sue, YES! My tv fritzed out! Just long enough for me to start an anguished cry. Then it came back, but I was all anxious for the rest of the ep.

Ditto with the fritzing.
