"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Is using McGill cheating?

Everett or Bruce?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Quelle horreur! James!

I can't even.

James McGill died on December 19, 1813 leaving a Will in which he bequeathed his 46-acre farm known as "Burnside" to the Honorable John Richardson and three other trustees.

This explains, uh, more about ita that was puzzling.

Also? KILL MCGILL! (It may not be football season, but it is always appropriate.)

Sue! How's mom and dad?

Well, Let's see: Monday I went grocery shopping to two different grocery stores (for teh specials). Tuesday I spent the entire day putting up and decorating the tree, in the evening I wrapped presents for my Mom. Today was baking day: 4 dozen choclate chip cookies, 3 dozen shortbreads, 2 dozen brownies.

I am either an indentured servant or an elf. Anybody wanna suggest an elf name.

I think I am two degrees from Shatner. And I met Bruno Gerussi once. (If being pointed to and mentioned as someone's dresser and him saying hello consists of meeting.)

I sat two seats over from Shatner here in LA at tennis, and a table over from him at a comedy club in Montreal.

We're either best friends, or he's stalking me.

Gronk. At parent's house and it is 2am. I have been lying awake for 2 hours so I thought I'd get up and use the wifi to see what's up. I actually think I'm awake because I'm too excited about Christmas. What a loser!

Two days at the in-laws was as expected - maybe a little better than I thought it would be. Brent gave me a few presents while we were there. Season 1 of the O.C., Season 1 of Corner Gas, and a gift certificate for the spa. Nice. And I got TWO MORE PURSES from MIL! One is silver lame! (the other is actually kind of nice though not useable for anything.) I think I may have to start giving people more purses as gifts.

Hope everyone is sleeping and will have a great xmas!

Wheee! Are any of these worthy of a Tide trade?

I was wondering if you and B managed to avoid the crazy weather.

It's 4pm on Xmas day. We still have not opened our presents.

Also, it seems that I am 1/8th Mi'kMaq.

Hey Megan, the Heat Miser and Snnow Miser were on TV last night. I would have called you if I knew where they were.

at 6 PM we finally opened our presents. I got a drill, a year's subscription to EW, 90's Trivial Pursuit, some gloves, and winter boots.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Merry Christmas! I got a rimless cookie sheet, and so am finally cool. I got other stuff too, but that was the most glamourous.

I was greatly relieved to find that, for a change, my mother liked the present I gave her (lavender bath salts and body lotion) and I didn't need to use my prepared speech to talk her into using them. My mother is unbelievably hard to shop for.

Megan, Quo Vadimus is very funny. Thank you again!

A good mix of fun, practical, and a gift that keeps giving for a whole year! (B. got EW too!)

Crap! I remain among the uncool as my baking sheets are all rimmed. Can we still hang out? (Glad you like the book!)

Presents received at parental's house include 12 books, a frying pan, a polar fleece hoodie, socks galore, Buffy season 7, and a Canadian Tire gift certificate. Have eaten way to much food everyday. Today we are going to see my sister's house for the first time and then meet former Halifax friends (J and P and kids) in Hamilton for dinner. Tomorrow will be "How are we going to pack all this stuff?" day.

Sue, did you make it home or are you stuck in CB? We called Elena last night to see what the situation was and it seemed quite yucky. The picture in the Globe of the town clock was a little reminincent of last February. Fun fun!

Miss you guys - can't wait to get home!
