Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

I can't even.

I have a new love. The band The Killers. I too will be staying away from iTunes.

Remember that staying away from iTunes semi-resolution I had? It, uh, appears to have lasted about until I went home for lunch, so that's like a good 30 minutes after I posted (will of iron here).

Fortunately, I only spent 99 cents.

Today.

So far.

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Heh.

psst. Megan. Got your card today - thanks! (Also, um, do you still have mail forwarding? Because I sent yours to your old address. Duh.)

Dani, I don't have mail forwarding anymore. The new tenants of our building may email us to come get it. If not, no worries!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Hey Ouise! Did you start work this week? How's it going so far?

Sorry I haven't been in - I moved two days before starting work and didn't have internet access at home (and I felt a bit bashful about checking in during work hours at my new job).

SO. Yes, I started the job and it's going very well. I like my coworkers a lot and I've already learned enough about pension plans that you would need a medium-large stick in order to shake a stick at it.

Next project - find a new place to live. My two cats and I are currently staying in the basement of a friend's house, which is about an hour's commute by bus and is, in fact, in a different city than my workplace.

Anyway, thanks for asking, and I'll be in more often from now on.

Hi there, I'm still in Ottawa.

I just spent 1.5 hours at the Ottawa General Hospital emergency room because today I lost function of the muscles in the left side of my face. I have been diagnosed with Ramesy Hunt Syndrome which starts with pain in and under the ear and with blisters on the outside of the ear. IN other words, I have shingles (caused by the chicken pox virus) in my ear and the virus has caused a bells palsey type reaction in my face. (it's so lovely to eat food in front of people!) I don't have an ear infection afterall!

www.bellspalsy.ws/cause.htm (scroll down to Ramesy Hunt syndrome if you're interested)

Anyway, i'm fine, I'm on medication, and I'll be able to carry on here tomorrow. Can't wait to get home though!

Ouch! Healing-ma for you, Megan. I know my mother and a couple of my sisters have had bells palsey and it is no fun.

I'm not in any pain anymore. The anti-viral and prednisone are starting to do their job. I just can't blink my left eye or smile without looking letcherous. I've been doing a lot of winking at people. What a flirt!
