Yeah... That went well.

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Whoa! sumi just keeps bringing us the great news. Woohoo! I'm betting it's Space to the rescue once more. Off to check.

eta: Vision?!? Interesting. That's pretty much the last channel I would have expected to air it. Wonder if they'll pair it with Touched by an Angel? Kind of funny to have Wonderfalls "saved" by the religious channel, though.

I saw from the article that they'll also be airing the documentary The Corporation, which I never got around to seeing. Go Vision!

I saw it at the film festival last year. It's good but loooong. Maybe Vision will chop it up into many parts.

Strangely the Wonderfalls news doesn't give me a happy. I was pretty Meh about it. Maybe the second time around will be different.

That's the plan. I've already forgotten if it was two or three parts.

Art Crawl!!!

So Vision is a religious channel? Hmmm, perhaps Canadian religious channels are not like US ones.

I dropped in to see if you guys knew yesterday because there was a strange lack of comment over in Minearverse.

hip deep in pie

It's not religious in a "you will suffer the fiery pits of hell" way. It does have a spiritual bent but with a lot of inclusive, multicultural programming. I think Sundays they have a huge block of Indian programming, including a show of Bollywood videos.

They show reruns of Seventh Heaven and Touched by an Angel and Little House on the Prairie, also have a classic movie night. I do think they show a lot more fire and brimstone god stuff too, but i never stay on it when I land on it.

They play lovely music on those programs.

Hey! Vision also shows The Littlest Hobo!

Hobo theme in Spanish!

I can't even.

Cool news, sumi. Thanks!

Art Crawl!!!

You're welcome!

Actually, that sounds like an interesting mix of programming. Wonderfalls may fit in better than say, 7th Heaven or Little House.

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Woohoo! This means I don't have to beg someone to make me a *cough*unofficial*cough* DVD. Thanks for the heads-up, Sumi.

ION, our backyard is being torn up by a bobcat (the mechanical variety) so that the landscapers can put in interlocking brick. They were supposed to start last week but rain delayed them. Molly loves it - a chance to track mud and sand in every five minutes! Dog heaven.

Okay -- you say mechanical bobcat and instead of a bulldozer I get a picture of a robotic wildcat in my mind.
