You're going to have to define 'schmoop' for me.
I guess what I mean is that he's starting to "care" about saving the world. He used to just do it to have something to do, but now he's getting into it. He's getting soft. I miss old growly "I'm gonna rip your head off" Spike.
The closest thing to 'schmoop' I saw was Spike being first to raise his hand. Which I liked, a lot.
NAFDA summary: mostly positive, but a big discussion of whether (or how much) the black circle was an asspull at this late stage. Much confusion over exactly what the hell Lindsey's motivation was to want to be a tool of the SPs. Also how involved or not the Drogyn was with Angel's plan. Folks are also hoping for some guilt fallout for Angel over the killing (or a reveal that this was part of a plan with the Drogyn).
Angel's speech at the end and the Crash Bandicoot discussion were both considered gold.
Spike's already killed himself to save the world. And I think he liked it. Much less schmoop here than last time.
He was schmoopy earlier on too, when the group was talking about Fred.
Hmm. Didn't strike me that way. I actually thought this ep was a good return to form for Spike. Instead of just pissing people off just to see what colors they turn, he went back to the whole discernment thing, poking holes in facades. I'm mainly thinking of The Thing That Wears Fred Like A Cloak, here, but then when am I not?
Doesn't matter anyway. I'd take schmoopy Spike over the no Spike that we are going to have after next week.
It's going to be really hard to not read the watch and post tomorrow night.
Last check in before my exam! I'll be leaving very early tomorrow morning because I want to get there for 8:00 (the exam is 8:30 to 12:30). Wish me luck!
Dani, I got the books!! Thank you so much! The first one I read?
Goodnight Moon! :)
Good Luck 'Ouise!!! I'll be sending you good vibes...
