Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

Heh. I'd be down with that action. Well, maybe. I had my own little riot at the Less Than Jake show on Tuesday. I hereby dub myself Captain Catapult. Apparently the big thing at concerts in MTL is crowd surfing. I am considerably too large for much of that noise, but I was awe inspiring in my enabling of the crowd surfing of others. That said, I am tired and bruised in a good way, and possibly not as prepared for riots as I think I am.

Yay Leafs! This means I don't have to deal with my husband's annual post-season depression... at least for another few days. :-)

Has everyone out there seen the tape of the last Wonderfalls by now? Can I plead for it to come out West?

Dani, I think Elena still has it. I'll check in with her and see if she's watch it yet. I'll fling it out to you asap!

Whoever said the government wasn't efficient has never paid income tax. I mailed our income tax on Monday and DH's payment cheque was cashed yesterday. Now that's fast!

I can't even.

Well, I'm off to Kingston for the weekend, so I'll think of the ex-Kingstonites while I'm chugging Guinness with my scallops and chips at the Pilot House or eating pate at Chez Piggy and wandering through the market and the used bookstores.

Of course, I could do similar things here in TO, it would just take a week and a half and cost ten times as much.

Oh, there's no hesitation when you owe them money...but when they owe you it's a different story.

Oh no doubt I'll be waiting months for my $37.00 refund.

Made it home safe to the 'rents?

I'm off to mail my mom her mother's day gift so that she'll receive it before she leaves for Austria. *grrrrr*

Just heard from B. in QC. He was at Cora's. No surprise.

I did!

what are your plans for the weekend? Are you going to garden?

I can't garden because Brent left and took the key to the shed. I'll just sit and admire it I guess.

Yesterday I rented two movies - Topsy-Turvy and School of Rock (shuddup) - so I watched TT last night (it was ok but slow) and I'm going to watch SoR now. I'll probably return them later today. This morning I went to mail my mother's day present, bought some baskets at Wicked Imporium, and went to the bulk barn.

I met my neighbours baby daughter yesterday. She came outside in her winter coat, hat (knit like a strawberry) and one mitten. Very cute.

I'm assuming "Wicked Imporium" is a typo, but if not that's the BEST store name ever.

School of Rock was tons of fun! I didn't think I'd be able to stand Jack Black for a whole movie, but he wasn't too annoying (or at least, no more annoying than his character was supposed to be).
