Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

I can't even.

Hey, the woman who plays Kirsten on the O.C. is from Ottawa. Weird!

My s3kr1t celebrity girlfriend is from just up the road, and still she never calls?

She can't be all that taken with the eyebrow guy, really.

t weeps

Perhaps I should obtain more caffeine. Or sleep. I'm beginning to regret finishing off the white chocolate and coffee candies I had in my desk drawer.

Did these not caffienate you enough? How's the weather in TO?

I can't even.

Sadly, I finished them off the end of last week, so their caffeination is no longer surging through my system.

It isn't bad here, Megan. Around 10 degrees and the first sign of the orb we've had in weeks. This has been a pretty grey winter.

I have a fresh cup of tea, and my coffee shop has started carrying Tetley again, so this pleases me.

I hated that about winter when I lived in London & Ottawa - no sign of the orb for weeks at a time. People bitch about the weather here, but at least you're at much less risk of SAD than just about anywhere else in Canada.

This is completely OT, but I'm so chuffed I have to tell everyone I can. (Posting here is keeping me from buttonholing strangers on the street.)

Dan (my husband) has been nominated for both an NNA and a Michener Award! It's a really big deal and I'm thrilled to see him recognized for good work.

Congrats, Dani! Uh, what field of endeavour is that?

Very nice! Is there a trip to Ottawa (second prize: TWO trips to Ottawa?) in it for you if he wins? Where do they present?

Megan E. - Mar 24, 2004 7:03:38 am PST #5882 of 6793

Congrats to Dan! I guess I now know why he was covering the budget yesterday.

it's SNOWING here. Didn't mother nature get my memo? No snow after March 20th! I asked a coworker to make it stop but he said he's busy with other miracles.

We get 2 trips out of this - Ottawa in April & Vancouver in June - just for being nominated. Woohoo!

The Michener reception is held at the GG's residence. We both are going to need new clothes.

Just ask Adrienne to buy you something. She's got some money to burn, apparently.
