I think it was overall positive. Only one person has come out and said that it didn't grab them. I liked it, didn't love it (I think I was put-off by some of the bad Canadian actors in it), but I'll keep watching it. Some of the lines killed me.
Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness
[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!
I was at Zellers today too! Around 2:30 - 3, I would say. I bought new underpants!
You saw it? When? I taped it for you.
We plugged in our new tv to the cable and it was on! I guess they didn't disconnect it when the previous owners moved out. So we were able to watch it. Thanks for taping though!
We do have the best view, after all. I wonder if Canada will be mentioned.
We saw a Canadian penny in the fountain (which is on the Canadian side).
I'll keep watching too, cause talking monkeys and lions? Funny.
We were at Zellers around 1-2. We bought bathmats that don't fit in our teeny bathrooms, some toilet brushes, cleaning stuff, and a garbage can. No underpants for us.
So her store is on the Canadian side? Huh... Wonder if they'll mention that at all.
I think on the show she's supposed to be on the American side, but they use the Canadian side for exterior shots. The American side isn't half as kitchy as the Cdn.
I want to know more of the couch saga, please.
Elena, did Bri tell you about our "fireplace"?
I want to know more of the couch saga, please.
We started looking about 6 weeks ago, right after we found out that our house offer was accepted. We went to Sears Home store and this really annoying sales guy followed us around and gave us a few prices on sleigh beds (which we had no intention of buying). When we left he gave us his card and said to ask for him when we came back.
We looked at a bunch of other places and couldn't really agree on anything, mostly because we didn't really know what we wanted, other than we wanted something comfortably and nice looking.
We went back to Sears 2, 3, 4, 5 times and on the 5th time another sales guy helped us, who was very helpful, laid back and cool. We finally decided on a red microfiber couch and chair but didn't want to buy it until we knew that our old sofa would fit in the basement. We told him that we'd be back and ask for him. So yesterday, after we moved in, we went back to Sears to make our big purchase. Who was there at the front door -- annoying saleman from our first visit. I guess they are on commission and he apparently had *dibs* on us. The second salesguy almost started an argument with first guy about stealing his commission, which was very awkward.
All that aside, our sofa and chair arrive on Wednesday.
Funnily, I saw this house for 35 minutes before deciding to buy it. We looked at 10 houses and picked this one. It took 1 day to make the decision -- relatively easy. Buying a sofa? Almost killed us.
It's a very nice couch, though.
Not that your house isn't nice, too, of course.
Digging myself deeper...
I like Niagara Falls, Ontario. A fantastic place for you to go.
