Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

...And we're back on the innernet. Eastlink sent their Saturday subcontractors out to make us happy and wired. Whee. Won't mention that we had live cable last evening to anyone. Doobeedoobee doo.

Elena, post away.

Elena, I'm not sure if it would work. For instance, are we NAFDA, or not? What about those Un-Ams who don't get to see Angel before us? Wouldn't they be spoiled by our conversation? Would we have to white font for them?

Also, it is only one person who has spoken up since you announced that you would continue the posts in Press, and I think that was more about a genuine mismisinterpretation of the posts. There didn't seem to be many passionate argument either way in Bureacracy, (although admittedly, I only skim it) Why should we have to re-purpose the thread for one person?

Would a suitable compromise be that you make no more than one post a day, and then edit it as new sessions start? Not ideal for either group but it would cut down on the number of posts that non-deathmatchers have to read, and there are usually not many posts in Press that people would have to scroll back to.

Thanks for all the fish.

The thing is, Sue, I really only make one post a day as it is. And, no, it's not an ideal solution because I do have some unAms participating, but with the hiatus I think it wouldn't be an issue.

I don't think it would be a repurposing of the thread, because I'd just put the announcements in here - the matches would be in Quotables as usual.

Still, I'll keep posting in Press until I'm official told to stop. I don't see any other thing I can do.

Elena, my objections aren't strong to using this thread as a notice for Deathmatches, but I am making some suggestions in Kafka.

How's the new house Megan? Does it feel like home?

Megan E. - Mar 13, 2004 2:48:27 pm PST #5664 of 6793

Hey ho everybody. Brent and I are still getting settled but unpacking is so icky! This morning I got up at 7 and started unpacking in the kitchen but got overwhelmed very quickly. B got up shortly after me and we kind of puttered around until I found the shower curtain and curtain rings. While I was in the shower the cable/phone dude showed up and didn't leave until close to 11. We then went to Zellers, Smitty's and Home Depot to spend more money.

To make a long boring story short (but still boring) I was finally able to cook something and our basement is getting organized.

Holy! Get out of my mind Sue!

Yes, it is starting to feel homey, especially since the basement is set up exactly like our apartment. I'm having trouble getting used to being on a different floor from B, which is silly, but we've only ever lived on 1 floor before, and now we have 3.

Thanks for all the fish.

Just don't give up on the packing and start shoving things around willy-nilly. Find the right place and put things there or you'll be moving things around for years.

B has tried to organize the furnace room so we can have some storage for the stuff we don't want out. I'm taking a break since I just cooked supper and cleaned the kitchen. I think I'll unpack the bathroom stuff next.
