Ah... must have been when I feel asleep.

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!
I figured you were asleep.
'Ouise, I got your email and I am interested on getting together to contribute to B.org in one money order. My hard drive seems to be where email go to die, so I thought I'd respond here.
FYI, our mortgage company sucks. When we signed our mortgage agreement here is what we agreed to:
Monthly payments
First payment April 1
Property Taxes included in payment
We got a letter from them yesterday with these terms listed:
Bi-weekly payments
First payment March 12
Property taxes included but $954 more than required
I just tried to call them to try and straighten this out but the offices are closed due to a "Safety Drill". WTF?
D'oh! That really sucks. Does your broker even listen when you talk to him.
I just talked to our lawyer and he says that this mortgage company (that the broker advised us to use) is the worst company he's ever dealt with. In 2009, we will be switching.
If I can't straighten this out myself, I'll send my lawyer after them.

Megan, my bank is doing this too. Mine are trying to build up a little surplus in my tax account to give themselves surety that the taxes will be paid (Policy --I think they like to have 6 months ahead stashed). If this is what is happening in your sitch, you might be able to talk to them about taking those funds in a more measured way. I'm getting mine to build up the surplus, by taking a bit extra every month until they get to their comfort zone. They should have explained all of this clearly to you in advance, of course. Mine did, but I'm dealing with friends from a branch where I've banked for 15 years.
Not only did they not explain that to me, the guy I talked to yelled at me. The mortgage is not with our bank - it's with a mortgage company. 5 years from now, it will no longer be with this company.
Sorry to hear that. Can you go over the yeller's head? Yelling at customers, even ones you have locked up for 5 years, is of the suck. Their policy may be a bit more flexible than this guy has represented. My branch was pretty good about giving me options for setting the tax thing up, but then they do know me pretty well and have a more than theoretical commitment to customer service.
My husband called and found out the yellers name and his supervisor's name but I'm going to let our lawyer handle it from here. I wonder if I can go to the bank and negotiate a mortgage move now, or if it's totally too late.
Dude. while houses rock like Blind Guardian, mortgage troubles rock like Enrique Iglesias.
As to Angels, I'm satisfied. Wesley went apeshit in an entirely suitable manner, and played his best card often and loudly. Said card being the 'Sudden and unpredictable violence from nowhere' card. He's kind of like the Waylander of the show, with Angel being more in the Druss mold, but less fun loving, for anyone who reads Gemmell. Amy Acker's acting (Alliteration! Alright! All done.) was incredible. very alien, and not at all Fred until she went to the instant replay at the end, and AD and JAR brought their working shoes too.
Casting Time Stop rules, as does FarscapeFred's hole card. Said card being sudden and not unpredictable defenestration. The big Wheels of Time hook was well executed, and a good twist on the usual big ancienct evil thing showing up to destroy the world every year.
I liked.
