As to the tale of woe itself, lessee. Worked the first eight hours of the alleged day, then got stood up for the first date I've managed to set up since moving. Actually, for a good little while before that, too. Then seeking the sweet oblivion of sleep, I return to my abode to find workmen tearing the kitchen to shreds in order to replace the sinks that were supposed to be replaced in September, and furthermore, that I was supposed to have enough notice to get outta town for.
So very much with the circular saws slicing up the floorboards for access to pipes on the other side of the thinnest wall in the whole city separating my room from the kitchen. By the time I conceded the issue of a restful day's sleep, I'd also picked up a bitchin' head cold for the first time in recent memory, which is aided not at all by the apartment being chock full of dust. And you forgot my birthday and made me cry.
