Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

I'm made of felt and my....hey, who's hand is that?

Oddest thing. Megan and I walked down Spring Garden to get emergency supplies from SD, and at the corner where Rogue's Roost is, we were waiting for the light, and I was leaning on the "don't walk" sign.... That was just the compressed snow/trail along an unshoveled sidewalk elevating us about 4-6 feet higher than normal. Was an interesting perspective.

Walking through all the canyons of snow, I feel vaguely as if I should be targetting womprats or something...

It feels like I am in the maze with the minotaur to me.

Is there much open downtown? I heard Park Lane is open.

from the NS Gov't Website:

However, with more snow predicted, Nova Scotians can use the
opportunity today, Feb. 21, to obtain the necessary supplies they may need, where it is safe to do so.

Jo just told me that they are predicted 10 more cms today and 20 more tomorrow.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Hey all! We ended up sheltering a friend of mine who went in to work Thursday morning (she left before the announcement). She was here until this morning - I ended up doing a lot of gluten-free cooking (she's the friend with all the allergies).

Yesterday we went to the corner store behind my building so we could have bacon and eggs. I fell down on the way back -- luckily my friend was carrying the eggs. My feet just flew out from under me. I hit my elbow and got the annoying kind of "bruise" that hurts but looks completely normal, so I can't even get sympathy. It's very sad.

Ouch, 'Ouise! I hope your elbow feels better.

They imposed a curfew again tonight, starting at 10PM.

J's friend in Quebec told her that he heard on the news that public employees in Halifax may have Monday off too. Now I've got my hopes up!!

I took a bunch of shots trying to get a god exposure.

Is this a particularly holy one?

I have a tonne of work to do for Tuesday. I hope that boss is understanding and that the Min moves his briefing to later in the week.

I don't think having Monday off is that realistic at this point. We shall wait and see what the next storm brings us.

I got a message form A. when I got offline last time. She's not leaving for Fla. until Monday now, so she's extended her vacation until next Thursday. Which means more FOIPOP time for me. Boo.

Are you guys watching curling, Megan?

Megan E. - Feb 21, 2004 11:37:36 am PST #5410 of 6793

I'm watching Curling. B is playing D&D. I should be packing but we only have 3 boxes left.

We did go get TP though this morning. What a relief!

That is a relief! I went to work to pick up my AACR2. The office is well cleared of snow, unfortunately.

Thanks for all the fish.

I'm at work - but we are closing at 9 in order to get home before the curfew hits.

I will make sure that we get Brent home betimes.

Poor Ouise's elbow.
