... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

And who's fault is that, I ask you?

t Rhetorically beating dead horse...

In MeMeMe news, the video game console that time forgot spins again! I fixed it good, and shouldn't have to pull it apart again for another two months at least. Just sayin' on account of I thought the thing was deader than a very dead thing indeed. On the other hand, the game I rented ain't great. Not great at all. So, I guess the lesson is you lose some, then you win one that shouldn't need to be fought at all, then lose some more. Take from it what you will.

And still more on the downside of things. You know that guy who one occasionally sees at comedy shows? The one who, when singled out and mocked by the comedian gets his knickers in a twist and stomps around all huffy while possibly adjusting his monocle so as better to be indignant. The whole damn province I live in has turned into that guy. 'Boo Hoo, we got made fun of by Triumph The Insult Comic Dog'. 'Boo Hoo, it's a plot by the CIA to drive Canada apart so the yanks can pick up the pieces.' Yeesh. Come to think, I'd prefer blizzards to this crap.

Triumph the Insult Dog is funny...

... for me to POOP ON!

Yes, the snow is my fault. I ordered it because we still don't have any heat in the apartment and I want the snow to be insulating.

I'm made of felt and my....hey, who's hand is that?

Egads. I wonder if I'm going to be able to make the monthly geek-fest meeting this eve? No, no, I'm not slandering the mythically enriched world of D&D here. Rather, I refer to my 'other' geeky friends - the glue-sniffing, plastic-fondling, teenie-tiny-tank making group of military-history geeks I hang around with on occassion.

Good news that. Which game was it that failed to live up to pre-rental hype?

Are they reporting Conan's apology from last night today? He gave a fairly extensive apology and had a simultaneous french translator and subtitles. The french translation of his apology said things like "Did I mention that I have a small penis?"

ETA: At the end, Conan said something like "I wonder what 'pinoose' means. Oh well, I'll find out later."

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

It's funny - I haven't encountered any actual reactions to his show -- only articles commenting on there being such an over-reaction.

Rafmun, Sure for lunk. Sue, are you taking your boot to the mall?

Sue - Feb 18, 2004 4:42:56 am PST #5319 of 6793
hip deep in pie

Well, I've brought my lunk, so I'm of two minds. But my boot will need lunk too, I guess.

Megan, that was a splendidly random-sounding post. I congratulate you.
