Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Thanks for all the fish.

I didn't fall for it. Because I kept timelining it and was all 'For it to be true, there must be Dru.'.

Did you fall for the Spike-did-it fakeout?

I'm afraid I didn't. It would have been better if he was the one who tortured her.

Would those drugs in the wall still be effective?

Thanks for all the fish.

Vampire healing, we've seen Spike bounce back from that gaping hole in his chest that Glory dug.

Thanks for all the fish.

Those drugs in the wall would not have been effective.

If they're gonna do drugs, they should do them right.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because I kept timelining it and was all 'For it to be true, there must be Dru.'.

Yup. I was wondering if they were just working around a lack of Juliet Landau. But it left me with the conviction that Spike wouldn't do that sort of thing without Dru. Playing with the food is her and Angel. Spike would have seen a shiny thing, whacked her, and charged off to eat it.

Healing yes, growing apendages seems less believeable. Humans can heal from cuts, bruises, etc, but not regrow limbs. I'd think that vampire physiology wouldn't stray too much from that, other than accelerated healing.

Thanks for all the fish.

Exactly, ita. And he pretty much says as that in the hospital scene. He's all about the 'rush, the crunch, never much looked at the victims'; Angel was the one who 'couldn't take my eyes off them'.

Megan E. - Feb 02, 2004 5:09:16 pm PST #5108 of 6793

Yes, Dru was much more about the pain and torture than Spike.

Thanks for all the fish.

Have they ever discussed the limits of vampire healing? Because Spike recovered from his spinal injury.

I thought it was lovely timing coming off your discussion with JohnSweden.

Megan -- I wondered that myself. I think I grossed myself out to the point of believing they'd not come back.
