'Bushwhacked'

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

I had a friend who lived in Whitehorse, and she mentioned that everyone leaves their cars running when they do errands

Yep. The big environmental issue in the winter is trying to convince people that they really don't need to leave their cars idling if they're running inside for 5 minutes. There are signs around buildings saying "idle free zones" (especially under air intakes).

Car manufacturers send their new models up here for "cold weather testing". It's kinda funny, because they hide any identifying features - last winter there was about 4 or 5 really snazzy sport cars, all identical, with tape over the grille to hide the sign, and they'd always drive around town in a little convoy. I've never figured out what they were.

Thanks for all the fish.

Okay, so both Space and ASN will have Angel tonight? What times, do you know? And do you know which Firefly is on?

edit - and by 'tonight' I clearly mean 'tomorrow night'

Thanks for all the fish.

Well, I clearly missed taping Serenity, AGAIN.

So I could tape Firefly at 10 while watching Angel, then tape Angel at 11 in case Brian wants to watch it. Good dea.

Megan, you're awake!

Megan, you're awake!

I actually stayed up until 11 because I didn't get my laundry in until around 8:30. I'd been intending to wash my towels and sheets for 3 days and finally got them done. I tried once on Friday but all the washers were taken.

Sue and I went to see Lost in Translation yesterday. It's very enjoyable.

Thanks for all the fish.

Sure, rub it in that I had to work.

How's about that snow! My bus was 20 minutes late, but I'm finally home. Brian woke up at 4:30, for some reason, so he came downtown and we had breakfast.

I'm planning on sleeping all day, then getting up long enough to eat supper, run some deathmatches, watch Angel, then go back to sleep because I have to work tomorrow at 11am. Such a full day.

Thanks for all the fish.

And, actually, now that I think about it I probably shouldn't go right to sleep, or I should wake up early, because I need to go to bed at a decent hour. Sigh. Stupid work.

Snow pretty.

Yes, work is definitely stupid. I am doing a lot of stupid work today myself. My co-worker is out until the end of the month and a new girl started today but I can't really talk to her because I'm swamped!

Thanks for all the fish.

But thank goodness you don't have to travel anywhere today!

Yeah, I'm hoping this clears up by Thursday. I'm not looking forward to that 3 hour drive as it is.
