Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

'Shells'

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Thanks for all the fish.

I'll be sure to toss some to the peasants.

Did you have a nice weekend with the folks?

Yes it was mostly fun, with a few tense moments when I forgot my manners and let the small space get to me. We went to a cabin near Lunenburg for 3 nights and day tripped to Mahone Bay and the Ovens.

On Saturday night we were playing Uno (the only game my dad will play with us) and we heard sirens. They got closer and closer and my mom looked outside and said "They are coming up the hill!" There were 3 fire trucks making their way towards the cabins. We went outside and saw a huge bonfire that had spread to some bushes about 100 metres from us. I guess some local dudes had decided to have a little fire, without a permit, and it got a little out of control. They put some foam on it and Brent went over to take pictures.

On Monday morning we looked outside and there were 7-8 deer about 10 metres from our cabin. Really cool.

Oh, and we made turkey dinner in a kitchen about half the size of your downstairs bathroom.

Thanks for all the fish.

Jesus, that's a small kitchen.

I thought you were going to borrow games from us?

We were but we didn't have the time to pick them up. It was just as well. My dad can't sit still for more than 30 minutes at a time. It was all we could do to get him to play uno with us.

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

HOO-WAH! I am so very employed. I start training Monday to be a cashier. Again. Ah, screw it, I don't even care that it's a crap job. For the moment, an income is all I need. 'Everything is proceeding as I have Forseen ...' and so on.

Megan E. - Oct 17, 2003 8:17:39 am PDT #4044 of 6793

Yay Mecha!

Thanks for all the fish.

WOO! Congrats on the crappy job, Mecha!

I predict a less crappy job in your near future.

Also? Oz DVDs rock.

Thanks for all the fish.

I forgot to tape Angel last night. Honestly, I just can't seem to work myself up in to anything more than apathy.

I suppose I could watch it on Monday and tape Firefly, but it's going to be an unseen Firefly... I think I'll just skip Angel and revel in the space-whores and cowboys.

I have Angel on tape, or I can tape it for you again on Monday night.

Tonight I went to see Ann-Marie MacDonald read from her new book The Way the Crow Flies. I had bought the book used last week when I was home so I took it to get signed. She is an awesome reader, very funny and engaging. The book seems really enticing too so I'm looking forward to reading it -- very soon anyway.

Of course someone asked "What was the Oprah experience really like?" and she was very complementary of Oprah but in a tempered way.

She's also very tiny - and looks about 20 years younger than she is.
