This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

It's hot and swollen and sore and all full of blood and pus.

I think that Megan is leaving today, so I doubt she can come with.

I'm still here until tomorrow! Have pilates at 6 though.

Sue, I saw you walking by my apartment. I was waiting for the elevator to go to the laundry room and I waved frantically but you didn't look up.

I was walking back to work from a FOIPOP training session... Sorry I missed you!

That's ok! It was just very strange timing that I happened to be there at that exact moment.

I just woke up from a nap and now Brent is asleep. It's like we're taking turns.

Thanks for all the fish.

I don't need to know that much detail about your marriage, Megan.

My plans for the day went awry - no Gay Pirates for me. I did shower, though, so thumbs up for that.

We ended up poking around the mall, looking for inspiration for our dining room table. Found some interesting and expensive stuff. Bought some books and a wedding present for one of our August weddings.

Now I'm going to piss around on line for a while and hit the hay. Must be up so very early for work.

Oh - did I mention that we're going to New York at the end of August? We had planned to go in the fall, when the heat would presumably not kill us dead upon deplaning, but there is a seat sale right now that saves us $500 on the tickets, so...

Ooooh, I should buy folks presents in New York. That'd be cool. And, also, for some obscure reason the flight stopsover in Toronto, so maybe I can hit the Lush store.

In terminal 2 they have a little Lush cart that might suit your purposes.

Sounds like you had a productive day. I went for my allergy shot at 7am, went to Cora's for breakfast (tomato bacon omlette...mmmm), bought some new shoes (ieee!), did laundry, ironing, pilates, banking and now I'm considering starting my packing.

Thanks for all the fish.

You have the nicest shoes! Those are lovely.

I very much enjoy Cora's. I like the fruit.

Yes, terminal 2 has the Lush cart. I hope we're terminal 2 accessible.

Brent is my shoe enabler. I'm actually going to take them back tomorrow morning since looking at them closely, one of the shoes has a longer toe, and the other is much rounder. I'll try to get a matching pair. Our flight leaves at 2:45 so we'll have a lot of stuff to do in the morning before we leave. Brent has an eye doctor appointment, I'm going to Dr. Dempsey, we'll have to finish (or start) packing...I'm tired already.

I very much enjoy Cora's. I like the fruit.

It was a very nice breakfast but I didn't get any fruit with my omlette, so I stole some of Brent's. The guy sitting next to us go a big plateful of beans. I'm glad I wasn't working with him today.
