Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness
[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!
Did you guys hear the rain last night? Whew! It cooled things done for a bit, but now it seems muggy. On the upside, my strawberries are ripening.
When was that? It poured jsut as we were leaving for the Marquee, and I didn't notice any more rain when I got home at one, or when I was up at 5, 6 or 7...then I forgot to turn my alarm back on and slept in until 8:05.
Did you see that Space is going to be running Firefly in its ENTIRETY in PROPER ORDER starting Sept 8th?
Whooo!!!!
Just to repeat WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Hey Sue, is the office struck by election madness or has everyone stopped working altogether since it could all be in vain?
I haven't noticed any. But I am just sitting quietly in my cubicle.
good web site Sue!
It was all Google.
I'm going to start taping Farscape, then. And, of course, Firefly. Though the DVDs should be out in November. I'm hoping. And wishing.
I'm wearing the same earrings I have been since May, and they're silver, so that shouldn't be a problem. It may have something to do with the copious amounts of cat drool that run into my ear on a regular basis.
Sue, it was raining at - oh, 9:30-10. Very hard.
How was Billy?
We were at my friend's then. Laughing about how we were drinking caffeinated tea after 9 and feeling wild for doing so.
Sue, The Village People will be here - damn, I made a point of noticing this... I think that 1st and 2nd of August. Tickets are $19.
How was Billy?
Billy was great! The Marquee was a hot, stinking, overcrowded, sweatbox, however. It took Shannon and I about a half hour to find a place where we could see.
He was his funny, political self. At one point he took a tea break, and the guy behind me said "Wow, he's really English." He played lots of old stuff, talked about finding Venus Envy and its stock of butt plugs, covered a Smiths tune that noone else seemed to recognise, and at the end of the concert he threw his teabag into the crowd, which almost made me pee my pants I laughed so hard. (Also once I got to a place where I could see, I couldn't leave to go to the bathroom, so I had to pee something fierce.)
