And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Better clean out the guest room Abby!

Holy crap that was close. South Korea must have had a great presentation.

They were saying on CBC that there were rumors that Samsung was making "business deals" with different national IOC committees.

Gotta say, I'm a little conflicted about the 'Lympics.

In other news, I just bought a tent! Who wants to go camping!

Bought a tent! Where? I'll pass on the camping though - I'm perma-scarred from when I was a child.

Just a cheapish one form Crappy Tire. But it's like the one of Matthew's (Jo step-brother) that I borrow all the time and love, so I'm pleased....

If it weren't for the insane kids...I just may...

Maybe I'll sleep in my living room in it...

Wow, I emailed the Justice Minister about Same Sex marriage this morning (See Sue "Natter 12b: superstitious? us?" Jul 2, 2003 6:07:11 am PDT), and I cc's Alexa and the PM's Office. I just got a somewhat canned response back from the PMO. Canned, but still a good turnaorund.

I can't even.

Congrats to BC folks on the Olympics!

I had a lovely Canada Day, went out and wandered around celebrations in the sun and listened to a really good folk singer do a lot of Neil Young, while sipping iced tea and eating date squares. It seemed like every single person had some kind of Canada theme t-shirt, thanks to Molson giving tons of them away in cases.

Uh. That's all I got. (Waves)

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

That is good turnaround, Sue. Was it on topic? One time my friend Joanne emailed the Justice Department about judicial misbehaviour (when there were all those cases of judges saying offensive things), and got an answer saying "Many other citizens are also concerned that sentences are too lenient." She was not impressed.

Yesterday's community centre Canada Day celebration went very well. I spent two and a half hours in charge of the "Fishing Pond". At least it was in the shade! We taped the CBC Newsworld special, and it all turned out quite well.

It was pretty canned 'Ouise. "This topic you raised is of great interest ot the prime minister." type of response, without mentioning the topic by name. but they did get the right department of responsibility.
