[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, being in the Commonwealth is a sure sign all the ties with Mother England haven't been severed, but it is all a matter of degree.

Yes, the Queen is still our head of state but our Constitution no longer has to be amended by the British parliament.

The Constitution Act, 1982 was the last constitutional enactment for Canada to be made by the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It thus has the political importance of patriating the Canadian constitution; all future amendment must be done within Canada.

I don't think there is any movement afoot to sever all ties with the British Monarchy. Most people are indifferent or appreciate this historical connection.

Outside of Quebec, surely.

Hello! I must be going.

Does J'can money also have the Queen on it?

To be fair, the Commonwealth of all the ex-colonies seems pretty cool. I guess members can help each other with aid and stuff.

Yup. As does Australian ... which leads me to guess it's a pretty Commonwealthy thing.

I guess members can help each other with aid and stuff.

I'm sure money would be accepted from outside the cool kids club too.
