Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

This article says that most premiers will accept the new law, except for (surprise, surprise) Alberta.

Also I hear the NS will not be recognising these marriages?

John Hamm said last night that as soon as the federal law is passed (which could take time since they are about to break for summer recess and then have a leadership campaign) then NS will be accepting the law. A recent nationwide study showed that Nova Scotians were the most accepting of same sex marriages in the country.

Oh Ouise, I saw your friend H-A today. It took me a little while to remember where I had seen her before. I was at her place of employ getting my Gov't ID card. I've only worked here for 5 years so I thought I better go get one if I'm going to stick around any longer.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Funny coincidence Megan. And yes, it does seem about time for an ID:)

On CBC the other day they were talking with a law professor from UofT. She said tat the definition of marriage is a federal issue while the implementation is a provincial issue (which is why you can be married by declaration of banns in Ontario, but not in other provinces). Because of this, she said taht there is a good argument that Alberta doesn't have the jurisdiction to use the notwithstanding clause. Which would rock.

Anyone have any exciting Canada Day plans?

I'll be on a bus back to Halifax, cursing the Irvings and the size of our province!

A person's concepts should exceed their vocabulary, or what's a metaphor?

I'll be dropping my mother off at the airport for a 1:50 flight back to the US.

After that, no plans have been made.

Thanks for all the fish.

I'm not even working on Canada Day - but may be doing kitchen stuff.

We did put in a new floor in our kitchen/dining room. It was surprisingly easy - except for the part where we installed backwards and made it difficult. Which part would be the entire room. I've got several interesting new bruises to join the massive gash on my leg.

Kitchen 10, Elena ... 4.

Speaking of Cape Breton, I just returned from there, day before yester. It's still a place, that's all I can say for it.

Thanks for all the fish.

Mecha! You should see the kitchen, it looks great. And I think we managed to cover up all the bloodstains. I've got a bruise on the top of my foot - it's an odd place.

By the way, breakfast Monday.
