I noticed on rewatched (although maybe I'm slow or wrong) that Andrew lied about how Anya died. he didn't see, he was too busy. But in true Andrew storyteller fashion, he made it something wonderful for Xander-- used his imagination for good!

I didn't see Kennedy on the bus, but I did see her helping Willow out of the school so my assumption is she got on the bus with her.
