Giles? Evil? Why did he slit the bringer's throat in mid-spiel?
It seemed like he cut him off a but quickly (no pun intended), like he was trying to keep him from saying too much.

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Is Buffy or is Faith executing what Caleb wanted?
The "obvious" answer would be Faith. Bomb=bad ; FrayAxe=good. Could be a misdirect, but I don't think so.
I didn't think the Bringer had anything more to say, but I should probably rewatch.

He was starting to get into taunt mode with the "we'll laugh after we kill you all" kind of talk, but Giles isn't normally that reactionary. Maybe the Bringer was going to say "we'll laugh after we kill you all...except Rupert our puppet master."
I was taken back by the mid-spiel throat cut too. Don't know what to make of it.
I was completely satisfied. I liked all the sex. I liked the punch fests, and the avoidy fight. Giggled madly at the Mayor. I even liked Spike's speech. I'm just all aglow here.
My hope is that the Willow/Kennedy sex was required for major Willow suffering over Kennedy's DEATH.
Wasn't happy last week. Can't wait to watch live tonight although I dread the promo.

It was pretty much in a gap between sentences. Very abrupt. I want to suspect.
I think what's important is that the forces are split -- doesn't sound like Caleb accounted for a multi-pronged approach.
Bwah, I think the writers have been lurking in the Bureaucracy thread!
That was the best part, for me.
I'm still so so on it. Damn it, didn't they used to just show?
Then this morning I realized I really had wanted more Caleb.
I would happily trade SiT time for Caleb time.
Plei is my mirror twin with Angel. I am big with the Buffy love this year and so so on Angel.
The Bureaucracy was a thing of beauty.
Also, I thought Giles was surprised to see Spike and Andrew reappear.

It didn't appear that Caleb and The First (the name of my sixth album) knew what Buffy was planning. They knew about The Sex, they were ready for Faith, but Buffy seemed to be a surprise.
And was it me, or did it appear that the best way to get to the Axe was to face Caleb solo? Buffy could have made it there with the rest of the army, but a lot of SiT's would have died in the process.

They kept referring to Buffy and the girls. Very en masse, which is why I think split would work -- he's only watching one door. Idjit.
The first really needs to maximise its ability to be anywhere.

innerestin' point. It kind of goes against the whole "The Slayer gets strength through her friends" theme that's been a fundamental premise of the series.
