I also ran into a friend of my mother's earlier, who has taken an interest in my career. I'm going to drop by his office tomorrow afternoon to chat about some possibilities.

Laws preventing same-sex marriage are discriminatory, the B.C. Court of Appeal ruled Thursday. In its decision the court gave the federal government until July 12, 2004 to change the law preventing gays and lesbians from marrying.
