But Buffy knew she had to leave. That's what was weird. Okay, she couldn't stay around and follow (mildly weird), but she couldn't stay around and just ... do laundry or something?
Where's she going to go? What's she going to do, fighting Caleb-wise?
I agree it's a little weird. I'm also guessing that's exactly what Caleb and First!Buffy were hoping would happen, which is even more weird.

Hmm. I thought they wanted her to come and bring her friends, and I was cheering them all for derailing it ...
I'm going to have to watch this again, aren't I?

That's what I thought too.
I thoght what ita thought regarding the de-railing. I also don't get why she had to leave the house-- I would think a trial period with a new leader would be good.
Also, they didn't really vote. I would have thought that Willow and Xander might have voted for a Giles leadership and not a Faith one.

Maybe, but the Bureaucracy thread would be tied up with HotPocketGate and everyone else patiently waiting for the MARCIE to be invented.
I would SO MARCIE Andrew...
Before Kennedy? At least he's been amusing at times. She has no redeeming social value.
