One thing I did notice was that the Chinese potential is still with us, so she didn't buy it last week. (I didn't think it was her, but a lot of people seemed to have.)

Yeah, I was pretty sure that the Chinese Potential wasn't killed, and since she seems to still be alive I'd say my hunch was right.
I'd love to see some Faith and Anya interaction getcher minds out of the gutter because, really, you can't just have Faith talking about reminding Anya about deflowering Xander, you have to show us the conversation.

Me, who's been thinking Buffy's been giving dumb speeches on purpose (the writers' purpose) is kinda chuffed.
But I'm not sure why she had to leave, precisely. She really can't follow? And it would have been more interesting to me had leadership not fallen to the other lucky person, but it couldn't be Giles or Principal McHottie or Willow, I suppose. And Xander's weak.
Yeah -- if she had hugged Xander, it'd have been different. But she's been amping the general thing, keeping too far a distance, and it's working against her.
