I was really reminded of James Marsters' theatrical experience during the last scene. The director and/or cinematographer (is that just for movies?) must have had fun with the imagery there.
I enjoyed the episode, although I was kind of disappointed that it didn't have Halfrek exposed as Cecily, which I was expecting from the title. Sigh.
I thought Anya looked way better with the retro look of this episode.
Oooh... Yeah, that works on a lot of levels.
So, how hot was Spike in the Church? The blue light, the white skin. The crucifixion .. ..
How hot was he? He was smoking!
(sorry, couldn't resist.)
I thought Spike/James looked his age in the last scene.
I think that Xander would have done something when Spike hit Anya.
I think he wanted to hit her just as much, plus she seemed to hold her own by throwing Spike onto the pool table.
Did you like the "knowing look" that Spike and Xander gave each other when Ensign Expendible said "Has anyone here not slept with each other?"
DH is home and we're going to rewatch buffy now, though I'm barely keeping my eyes open.
Good lord, could there have
been
more HoYay! in that scene?
Oh, hey, during the opening sequence in Germany (and, by the way, I am quite convinced that it is proto-slayers being offed) was I the only one shouting 'RUN, Lola, RUN!'?
