Thanks for all the fish.

Mwah! Thank you, doll. We're celebrating by going to Chuck and Esther's wedding.

In fact, I have to go make peanut butter and jelly sammiches for the masses.

How free is everyone over the next two weeks? I'd love to have coffee/lunch/drinks/dinner or maybe one last barbeque.

Have fun. Did they pick this date because it is charmed?

Next two weekends I'm busy (the 12-15 my parents are here for Thanksgiving).

Happy Anniversary Elena and B!!!!

Elena, I was thinking this morning that it seems like ages since we all got together. Next weekend is free, and I am hoping to be gone somewhere for Thanksgiving, but maybe we should get together for coffee or drinks some weeknight. I'm good for most nights but Tuesday, and Monday, of course.

Well, whatever we do, I just bought the ingredients for chocolate martini's (vodka with a vanilla twist), creme to cacoa, so maybe we should hang here sometime soon. But I have no fancy making shakers or glasses, so it wouldn't be like the Fireside.

I have shakers that you could borrow. I also have martini glasses, but two are chipped so they don't travel well.

What I really need ot get is a shot glass. Or else they might be pretty strong martinis.

I used to have a glass martini shaker, with funky bowling pins and balls all over it, but my friend was coveting it, and I didn't drink martinis at the time, so I gave it to him.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I'd be happy to get together sometime soon. It seems so long since I saw you guys!

Incidentally, if people feel like going out on Friday night(s), my brother's band (The Mellotones) is starting a Funk Night every Friday night at The Velvet Olive. They'll be playing, providing the music between sets and bringing guests sometimes. They've got the gig for October, but are hoping that turnout will be good enough that the Olive will let them continue it indefinitely. Nora and I will be there, and we'd love to see any of you that can come. t /advertisement

Thanks for all the fish.

This week is pretty full.... How does Thrusday the 10th sound? Dinner, coffee, whatever.

I cannot believe that the cheapest one-way flight Toronto to Halifax is $822 on Air Canada.

Just checked Tango and it's 103.50 (+taxes, etc, etc, etc). And they are the same company. Freaks.

Thursdays I have yoga, so I couldn't come until 7:30 or 8:00, but that would be ok.

$822 is ridiculous. I wouldn't pay that much to fly to the UK . Morons.
