Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

I posted this in Natter, but I'll post it here too since it will likely get lost in the shuffle:

I just got home and in the mail was my Alumni magazine which contains this entry:

Mark Lutz, BA '91, surprised some U of G classmates when he appeared as Monica's boyfriend (ed. I believe it was as Ross's ex's date) in a March episode of Friends. He's also had a recurring role as the Groosalugg in the series Angel and is remembered by Canadian fans for his starring role as Brainiac in the CTV movie (ed. it was a TV show) Power Play. Born in Montreal, Lutz grew up in Hong Kong and Toronto before attending U of G (ed. University of Guelph), where he was a star in the pool rather than on the stage. An Ontario and Canadian university finalist in swimming, Lutz was invited to compete at the Canadian Olympic trials. Sometime after his graduation from Guelph, he moved into the entertainment field, relocating to Los Angeles in 2001.

Despite the errors, and the fact that he obviously didn't write that himself, I'm excited to see that we overlapped at U of G for 1 year, making him about 34 years old.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

That's very cool, although the omission of his Queer as Folk appearance is kind of ... offensive. But how convenient of your alumni magazine to answer your question. I remember that you were wondering about if there was overlap.

considering 1/2 the info in the entry is wrong, I'm not surprised. Do we even get Queer as Folk here?

Yup! On Showcase. Nora has it all (so far) on tape.

Ok, the many errors do make it possible/plausible that they just didn't know about it. I guess I'll cancel the voodoo doll order.

Thanks for all the fish.

It was no He Shoots, He Scores.

So, I'm working the day of the Buffy premiere and will thus be unable to host a party. Sorry.

Right, channel 7, not 6 (I think I knew that, but best to have these things straightened out beforehand) and Firefly at 9pm Fridays channel 36. Good.

Firefly at 9pm Fridays channel 36

Thanks for all the fish.

I work 3 out of 4 Friday nights... ... Damn, I work too much. But on the bright side, I do not work a single Monday later than 7pm!!! And now I don't have to tape delay Angel! This makes me happy.

hip deep in pie

Susan, how odd! Since I'm the oldest, it does make a kind of sense to want me to stay over. Were you that much more responsible than them? Ah, parents ...

Well I think my family, like most, are just crazy. I suspect my parents knew my sister wouldn't be home much, and my brother doesn't exactly speak to anyone unless he absolutely has to... so there's me.

I'm not going to be able to watch Buffy live on Monday (sob!) My mother's flight lands at 8:30, and she wants me to stay with Helen until she gets home. Sigh. I think I'll get a cab home as soon as she gets back.
