Take your fingers off it, don't you dare touch it, you know it don't belong to you, to you...

Ya think?

I still remember the first time I saw Seeing Red...I'd stumbled upon a Spoilers website (SpoilerSlayer I think it was) and had read what was going to happen but was hoping it wouldn't...then everything started to fall into place as the spoiler had said it would...it was like one of those stories where someone has a premonition of something bad happening and they have a very vivid image of what the scene's going to be like, and then they realize that everything is exactly like that image, but there's nothing they can do to stop the bad thing from happening...

yeah...is it weird that I'm sad about the death of a fictional character from three years ago?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Cornelius, you should have seen our reaction to that ep at the time. It was...spectacular.

In fact, you still can see our reaction. Watch-n-Post starts here and continues into this thread.

nope. Only if it's weird that I got a little sad at the end of the Harvest, wanting for the hope that is past.

Hey. New board.

Seeing Red was the first episode I ever watched live.

Six months later I had seen every single episode, many of them at least twice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Marsterswatch:

COOL MONEY (USA) - The cable channel has rescheduled the telefilm, the second in its four-movie "true crime" series. The project, which stars "Buffy" alum James Marsters, will now air Saturday, March 19 at 9:00/8:00c. "Ladies' Night," the previous entry in the series, was also rescheduled in a similar fashion - moving from Friday, February 18 to Saturday, February 19.

Hey. New board.

For the purpose of testing video encoding codecs, I'm looking for a good 4:3 TV scene to look at. Naturally, I'm thinking that Buffy should be able to provide me something, and the easiest thing to get as a single chapter from the DVDs is one of the opening teasers.

Thus, here's my question: What Buffy episode has the best opening teaser? It'd be nice if it has a teensy bit of action, but it's not required - I'm doing "Duel of the Fates" from SWE1 as well, which has plenty of action. I just want to do something fun, and if it convinces somebody who's testing the files that Buffy might be worth checking out, then even better.

Ideas?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Offhand, I'd say Buffy's dream sequence from the beginning of "Surprise."
