I got the S7 DVDs at Target on Saturday, but I'm a little afraid to watch them. I tried "Storyteller," and the stuff I remembered as funny was still funny, but I didn't so much like some of the rest of it -- and that was one of my three favorite episodes from that season. I don't want the last Buffy I see to be episodes I hated the first time around, that all blur into one long slog of Potentials and annoying!preachy!general!Buffy in my mind. I may need to pair them up with my favorite episodes from the first six seasons as palate-cleansers.
Seriously, are they better on a rewatch? I wouldn't have even bought the set if it hadn't been so cheap.
They are! In fact, because it goes more quickly it doesn't seem like this eternity of a house clogged with potentials and Buffy lecturing them.
The airing schedule did the season a dis-service, I think.

marty, I had my camera with me, but couldn't manage to, you know, actually use it and take pictures. My excuse is around 40 hours straight of no real sleep. But it's still not a good enough one. Lame, I am.
My friend T still hasn't forgiven me for not taking pictures at that dinner. She probably never will.

Well, not even Joss had a 1.000 batting average with me, so it's unfair to hold Jane to a higher standard. Hated it.
I think Joss and Jane are both occasionally prone to the same flaw in their writing, which is to assume that everyone else is as crazy about a given character as they are, and go over the top in writing as if that's the natural order of things. Which works great for those who actually share their love of the character, but is very off-putting to those who don't. "Everybody Loves FredA Hole in the World" is another example of this.
So, how did you guys feel about Puppet-Angel?
