Secondly, from a completely tactical perspective, facing off against the First Evil, Tara is more useful than Joyce. Tara not only can help them magically, but she could also help Willow with her confidence, which was still pretty shot magic-wise until the very end of the season.

Well, and then Kennedy could have turned to the dark side, and we could have watched Buffy kill her, or maybe Willow could have just made her mute. t /issues

Well, didn't Joss say we ended up with Kennedy because Tara wasn't coming back?

I think the character could have worked with another actress. Wouldn't have minded watching the character we ended up with die painfully, though.

Eden Studios, the publishers of the Official Buffy and Angel Roleplaying Games have been working on a new book about the Watcher's Council. It was decided, that the Watchers would have files on the existing/past slayers, and Eden thought it looked odd that Faith and Kendra don't have surnames.

So they asked FOX... who asked Joss Whedon...

ded their official names, names that will appear in any licensed products (novels or even TV shows) after the Watcher's Book comes out. And Eden will publish them first.

The only thing is, I can't tell you what they are... signed confidentiality agreements and everything... To paraphrase another movie, no-one can be told what their names are, you'll have to see for yourself.
